I am an Associate Professor (HDR) in Chemistry at Sorbonne Université and lead the MesoBioLab team within the CPCV laboratory (UMR 8228 — ENS-PSL, Sorbonne Université, CNRS), hosted at the Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes in Paris. Trained as a physical chemist at ESPCI and in J. Bibette’s group, I work at the interface of microfluidics, soft matter, biophysics and immunology, with a particular focus on droplet-based microfluidic systems and functional emulsions.

Research. We design microfluidic platforms and interface chemistries to generate and functionalise droplets, control microscale environments, and build quantitative experiments that connect physico-chemical principles to biological questions — notably in immunology, where droplets serve as artificial targets and micro-compartments for single-cell and high-throughput assays. Teaching and training. I teach Python for science, image analysis, microscopy and microfluidics at Bachelor and Master level, direct the Microfluidics and Miniaturization Master, and run professional training in microfluidics for R&D teams. More on the teaching page.

Innovation. I am co-founder and scientific advisor of Quintessence Biotech, a start-up born from the laboratory’s patent portfolio that develops microfluidic and physico-chemical solutions for cell and gene therapies.
